Recommended Japanese Stories

Here are the Japanese novels being followed by me. Of course, since I’m a shameless GOOD girl, all of my favorite Japanese novels were mostly about Otome Games and Reincarnation.

First is the novel ‘It Seems Like I Got Reincarnated Into The World of a Yandere Otome Game’.

Web Novel Summary:

Lycoris, as a precocious child, suffers from a strange sense of deja vu. On the day her father told her about her fiancé, she realizes that said fiancé was actually a character from an otome game she once played in her previous life.

“I got the heroine’s rival position? The type of girl that often gets stabbed to death in a bad ending? No way”

This protagonist endeavors to avoid the yanderes all around.

Reason for liking it? It’s fluffy, fun but also serious. Not totally serious but since there are Yandere candidates and some weirdos in Lycoris’ (the MC) tale, there are seemingly serious turn of events. However don’t expect deep and mind-blowing scenes. This is an Otome based story and when we say Otome, it’s all about fluffy and cute romance, the type which will make you vomit sugar. In this story, Lycoris is the main lead, a Japanese whoever reincarnated to this weird world of otome as the villainess. Since it’s typical for reincarnated people to divert their route from destruction, of course she also tried doing it. After all, the world where she was thrown into is a place where yanderes run amok. Well, just say good luck to her and start reading it.

Five-year old Kisshouin Reika discovers she has memories of her past life! Always pondering why her own name sounded so familiar to her when she was reborn, Reika finally remembers on her first day of elementary school! [Suiran Elementary School], the school, and her name were from a series called [You Are My Dolce].

It was an extremely popular shoujo series in her past life, to the point where it was even made into a live action drama! The series starts out when the protagonist, a commoner girl enrolls as a special student into the prestigious [ Suiran Private High School ], where only the children of wealthy families attend. The commoner girl falls in love with the most popular boy in the school known as The Emperor, and becomes the target of severe bullying around the school, and the culprit of the malicious bullying was the character [Kisshouin Reika], who served as the main antagonist of the series. [Kisshouin Reika], in the series is the typical archetype of a rich girl antagonist. She was spoiled, vain, malicious and lacking remorse! By the end of the series [Kisshouin Reika] gets her ‘just desserts’ when The Emperor cancels the forced engagement she had with him by declaring his love for the protagonist as well as seizing all of the Kisshouin Company stocks, and exposing her father’s illegalities and corruption.

To her woe, Reika finds she had been reborn as that [Kisshouin Reika]! Disillusioned and terrified by her inevitable demise, Reika swears to become the most unassuming, polite, and agreeable girl anyone could ever meet. Find out Reika’s adventures as she tries to prevent her fall!

This is actually the very first otome game themed novel I had read, the reason why I ventured this kind of japanese series. It’s a very lighthearted read, the usual otome stuffs, the MC is so gullible, simple-minded and dense. The author is probably trying to put complex undercurrents into it but it’s still really a comedy in its very sense. Among the otome novels, this is probably the only one which will be completely translated first since on the latest update, Ba-Camille (the MC) is already living her married days.
Every novels below were already completely translated and were also the novels I’ve finished reading. I guarantee, these JP series are all awesome, well, plot-wise.
