My current reading list (JP novels)

The following are the Japanese LN’s that I am reading currently and are also being translated currently. I admit that it is a pain trying to wait for the updates but since we readers are just reading for free, it is improper for us to just complain and complain.

  1. Akuyaku Reijo wo Koi Shite (Falling in Love with the Villainess)

Tags: Army Building, Kingdom Building, Magic, Medieval, Transported to another world. The MC transported to a game world from Japan lives first as a poor commoner, a servant in a Duke household, and due to unforeseen circumstances becomes an aristocrat and a landed noble.

His schemes also include setting up of underground criminal networks and spies to help in the management of his fief. This novel is good for those who like to read stories with a nation and army building elements. This is quite a sad and serious story, no room for nonsense and I like the Author’s writing style. Go ahead and give it a try.

2. Ore no shibou flag ga todomaru tokoro wo shiranai (My Death Flags Show No of Ending)

Tags: Sword and Magic, Medieval, Transported to Another world, Romance, OP MC

The MC is transported on a Game world as an antagonist and therefore he is always surrounded by death flags. Moreover, the reputation of him and his family in-game is very low due to the fact of their inhumane and cruel treatment towards commoners.

Although the MC sympathizes with the victims, he cannot overtly show his compassion or else his identity becomes questionable and therefore still commits vile acts but more than it meets the eye he does good things covertly. In reality, the MC is good-natured but since his avatar, as an antagonist demand that he be foul-mouthed, cruel, etc the complication and misunderstandings revolve on that.

The MC does these things to avoid the Death Flags surrounding him – that is people who want to destroy them. But there are things that he cannot do by himself and due to his solitary in-game attitude, he has difficulties trying to deal with problems that require the cooperation with others.

           3. Sword Princess Altina

Tags: Strategy, Wars, Administration, Harem, Medieval, Swords, Guns, Conspiracy, Schemes, Diplomacy

Personally, I hate harem tags or ecchi tags. This doesn’t mean that I am devoid of lust but I just don’t like it. However this story does not focus on the harem but just integrates it to add comedy and flavor so for me, it’s bearable.

The MC is a bookworm and in the employ of the other MC, The sword princess as her strategist. His vast and wide knowledge due to his reading hobby has allowed him to envision ingenious tactics at war. This allowed their regiment to be successful in their endeavors with the least number of casualties among all the empire’s armies.

Wait! Segway to Manga…

  1. World Trigger

Tags: Shounen, Technology, Swords, Guns, Aliens

Though it’s on hiatus, I really love this series and I hope that the author, Ashihara-sensei recovers fully and soon, with vigor. I can feel his burning passion towards his work and it can be seen in the smooth flow of his story.

2. Hinamatsuri

Tags: Adopted Family, Yakuza, ESP, Slice of Life

And this is a manga I discovered recently. Highly recommended for people who like heartwarming stories with a twist of comedy, some elements of Society and Family.

3. ReLife

Tags: Romance, Slice of Life, School

This is one of the best for me. Ahhh. I can really relate to the problems of the MC… oh I’ll be careful not to give spoilers. The tags speak for itself so I recommend that you check these out.

Well, this is quite a short list of all the novels and Manga I read but with the above-mentioned, I highly recommend it to you and spread the good news – Go Ahead and Multiply. LOL.
