Asking
“Cenedy, you’re not listening.”
“Uh…ha what did you said again?” We’re inside the headmaster’s office. We are all here to report the result of our mission.
The discussion is supposed to be tomorrow but because of what Aiden and I saw, he insisted to have a meeting.
My mind is still occupied with questions about Daniel. Why is he with Realm?
“We saw a man together with Ross that’s observing the surroundings of the Academy,” Aiden informed. Everyone is watching him.
“Are you okay Aceil?” Claude secretly whispers on my back. I guess he sensed that I’m unstable since earlier.
“I…I am okay, why won’t I?”
“Did you see the face of the man that’s with Ross?” Sugar asks. Everyone seems to be focusing on Aiden’s answer.
“Not me, but Cenedy probably did.” They automatically shifted their gaze on me.
“Did you see it Cenedy Aceil?” I become nervous at his question. Sugar intrusted me with this. I’m the only one he trusted. Can I actually betray him? Or betray the only man who cares for me ever since?
What am I supposed to do?
They’re waiting for my answer.
“Uh… yes, I saw him.” I will not tell them that I personally know the person. Not until the moment that I will learn why. This time I will just tell them the fact that I saw him.
Sugar nodded and speaks again.
“I want to introduce to everyone Jaymi Hinamori. She has a sceill of memory. She can show you the persons that Cenedy Aceil saw earlier.” A Sveta woman comes out from the door. Thick and big round glasses. She has braces and her skirt is long that’s beyond her knees.
“He…hello, I’m Jaymi Hinamori. You don’t need to introduce yourselves because I already know all of you.”
“M…miss Hol…Holsden All you have to do is to think the moment when you saw him. It’s simple as that.” She said while smiling.
I take a step back away from her. What if she will learn that I know Daniel?
“It’s fine Miss Holsden, my power is also limited. I can’t reach the memories that you don’t want to show me.” She assured me.
She touches my forehead. It’s okay Cenedy, you just have to focus. You only need to think about what happens earlier.
I feel her palms warming. And it flashbacks in my mind what happened earlier.
When I open my eyes I saw Jaymi heavily panting.
“A…are you alright?” Is this normal? I only has seen now a sceillian having difficulties when using their abilities.
Everyone is worried. You can see it in their faces.
“Are you okay Miss Hinamori?”
Sugar asks while supporting and helping her to stand up.
“Uh yeah. Actually, this is the first time that I become like this but I’m fine.” She eyed me as if examining every bit of me. Did I do something wrong?
She touches each and everyone’s forehead. And from the sight of it, I know that they saw my memory.
“You can leave now Miss Hinamori. Thank you for helping.” Sugar said with gratitude. Jaymi is still looking at me.
She was about to leave but when she passed by my direction she whispers something to me.
“You have a lot of secrets, or should I say that you have a very dark past.” My eyes widen. She saw all of my memory?
“Did you learn something?” The hairs on my body have goosebumps. Even my insides were trembling. How did she know?
“I don’t know anything Miss Holsden, I just felt it. The reason why I felt weak earlier because of your experiences. I don’t know what it was but I’m sure it was not good.” I feel relieved. But I don’t like her ability. It will make anyone wonder about me.
“It’s better if you don’t know anything, Miss Hinamori.” Then I left. I didn’t finish the meeting. I told them that I’m tired so they let me go first.
Rhoanne kissed me goodbye while I was shocked at what Aiden did. He actually hugged me. It had been a long time since he did that. I missed it.
I head straight to the Gein. This is a very tiring day.
The sound of my footsteps is the only thing I hear. All the students are sleeping. About Clover, I’m sure she’s with Jino now.
Why did I end up with this trouble?
The room is dark so when I switch on the light I was surprised.
“Cenedy.”
“What the hell Claude, are you going to kill me? Can you text it first the next time that you arrive? Not killing by being shocked!”
There also Claude that always tailing me. If it others they will get flush and blush, but why am I irritated? I’m not used that someone’s always following me even if Aid knows it!
“I don’t have your number.” He said shyly.
“You’re hopeless.” I took his phone from his pocket and registered my number.
He smiled then he eyed me.
“Do you have a problem?” He curiously asks me.
“Hu.. ha? No, nothing, maybe I’m just tired tonight.” He just went silent, no one of us is speaking.
I know that he won’t believe at my alibi. But he still chose to remain silent which I appreciated, at the same time guilty.
“It’s Daniel, Claude.” A trace of bewilderment can be seen on his face.
“What do you mean it’s Daniel?” He asks. I think he knows what I mean, he is worried over something.
“The man I saw is Daniel.” I can’t help but say it. The tears that I’ve been trying to restrain finally falls.
I don’t know, I’m not the crying type of person. Maybe because of what’s happening lately. It accumulated in me maybe that’s why I’m crying like this.
“It’ll be okay Aceil, don’t cry.” He’s wiping my tears.
“He is the only one I trusted in my entire life, Claude. I didn’t know that he is a traitor. It didn’t even register in my mind. He is a good man and I love him so much. He is the one who gave me hope.” I totally burst out. I don’t care if Claude’s coat becomes wet.
“Shhh, you said it yourself that you are not sure yet. So don’t assume Aceil. Save yourself from being hurt. I don’t want to see you cry.” Claude hugs me.
I feel safe in his arm. I know it’s because he is my guardian. If I didn’t let it out I know I will burst. It’s too much.
All of the bullying, the mysteries, and the questions I was able to take it. But this, it’s too much. I’m hurting.
“You wanna sleep in my place? I can’t sleep if you’re like this, crying.” He holds my hand.
“No Claude, I want to be alone right now. I want to think clearly.” I know the way he nods he already understands.
“But in one condition, I need you to promise me one thing.” He said while looking in my eyes.
“Don’t shed a tear without me around.” I smiled at what he said.
“Yeah, I promise. I won’t cry without you.” He also smiled.
“Good. Good night master.” He disappeared like a bubble. I want him here with me but I need to be strong. I shouldn’t depend on him every time.
Before I went to my bed, I set my alarm clock.
But before I touch it, I saw a familiar book.
I don’t think I have this kind of book.
When I touch it, it suddenly opens. And there I realize what it was.
It’s the first Mistress’s book.
It greatly surprised me that the book opens. Not that I haven’t seen magic but a mysterious thing that has a mind of its own without someone controlling it scares me.

There’s a needle protruding in the middle, but all I did is to stare.
I didn’t realize that my hand slowly lifting up. I tried to control it but it seems useless.
I can’t stop myself from touching the book…

My forefinger touches the part where the needle is.
Seconds later I feel the pain in my finger. Blood comes out of it causing the book to illuminate.
The book turns its pages. But none is written.
A moment later, a sentence was shown on the blank page.
